The digital environment introduces a new twist on artists collaborating with other artists. For instance, exciting and creative works are being created online in shared environments.

Networking makes it possible for artists working side by side or a continent apart from each other to paint on the same canvas.

Another example is digital collages created with a variety of symbols and motifs created by a several artists that are often embedded in a drawing or painting program. These images also can be picked up on user networks.

The digital canvas adds new meaning to "found" art.

An example of absentee partners contributing to a painting is one that I did below using patterns and "brushes" created by other artists.
